Just Bought this DW snare

I was looking at this DW snare drum for a few days and went for it.......brought it home on Saturday.

Love it - it sounds great, looks beautiful. They threw in a new Evans G1 Coated head because the DW head that's on the drum had some use (a few hours in the studio before I bought it). I asked some advice on the pricing here on the Forum $325-$400, the retailer would not go below $449 - so I was happy with that.

My regular shop had a kit like your snare and it was pretty sharp.

Looks great. DW makes an excellent snare drum. I love mine to death. When I bought my first DW snare, a 10 - 6, I tried out every snare at GC and Sam Ash. It was the only one that made me think WOW!

Actually I think it's Section 8(1)(c) never-do-this in the drum regulations persuant to the "Act."

That is...............the "be true to Gretsch Act&Regs. lol

It was just sooooo nice - I couldn't pass it up!

But I really do like this one: Gretsch 125 year Anniversary sd - Silver Mist with Gold hardware It's about $800 on the street.

It would go nice with that GOLD DW pedal that's out there now ($833.99 - that's $500 at a well known online store).
