Just thought I would put this out there for any of the members who may not have access to a dedicated jazz station. Publicly funded, few commercials, wide variety old & new. You can hook up on line.

I like this one too... The Jazz radio toolbar. It puts a small music player toolbar on your IE or FF browser. Over 100 free jazz channels and podcasts. Check it out.

http://www.jazz-toolbar.com/

Beside the radio, the add-on contains rich content from the world of Jazz : Music reviews, new albums, news , jazz clubs, festivals and events around the world, tickets, and more content updates weekly.

Live radio stations such as BBC3, radioio Jazz, ABC dig jazz, DR jazz, arrow FM, BostonPete.com jazz channels and many many more.

Just as it is www.jazz.fm

Cut and Paste to your search engine. It is a very good station.

If you want you can google Jazz Fm 91 (in Toronto)

Thanks. When I couldn't click on the link I thought maybe some of it was missing.

Anyone with a computer can download iTunes. You don't have to buy, rent, anything, but on the left hand column, there is a selection for radio which streams hundreds of radio stations from all genre. Some of them are great some of them are so-so, but all are free. Give it a look see...you will be surprised at the variety.
