edit---Check post 8 for pics of her

After school my guitarist dragged me to a local pawn shop because he was sure they had a Marshall half stack he wanted to get.

When we arrived sure enough there was no Marshall in the building...there wasn't much of anything. We were about to leave when I saw something interesting. Hidden in the corner was a Ludwig Super Sensitive. I ran over to see how out outrageously over priced it would be. When i picked it up I read the price tag and couldn't believe my eyes...$69.95.

I had $20 on me so I told the guy I would give him $65 and put it on layaway...he said sure and even threw in a free snare stand!

It is a 14X5 with new heads and in almost mint condition. The snares are perfect, and the strainer is in perfect condition. It has a few scratches but nothing that won't clean up well...

if you don't know anything about drums then you really are not going to know what it is you have. They snare has a ludwig rocker head on it, and they looked up how much ludwig rocker snares go for and priced accordingly...

there was a CB snare that was marked at $120 it was an utter piece of crap...

lesson to be learned never use the name of the drum heads to figure out what kinda snare it is. That is the mistake they made, that I didn't care to tell them.

I would use strong language but just be creative as to what I'll say.

That's pretty amazing!

There is a small collection of metal snare drums at my school, and among the old and falling apart ones there is a 14x6.5 supra in good condition that is always my choice for pretty much everything. It does the job for everything from jazz band to concert work to basketball games. Especially with the new remo rennassiance vintage head that we put on it, it's a great one. Nice buy.
