OK. http://drummerworld.com/Videos/stevegaddjazzgroove.html
This has been driving me crazy. I hear him using this lick on 'She Was Too Good To Me" by Chet Baker constantly. It's when he does the quick 8th note triplets between left foot, bass and snare, with the weird 4 over three type thing maybe? I know it's some kind of fancy rudiment, as most of Gadd's licks are just ingeniously applied rudiments or stick control exercises. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Im not really sure what specifically youre talking, but I think its just odd groupings of triplets between snare and bass drum.
But I just have to say, I just cant dig that drum sound whatsoever. Uck.
