Just wondering if any players had any advice or techniques they could help me with for my bass pedal.

I am a right handed playing so I play my bass pedal with my right foot but unlike most ppl my right foot points out to the right and on straight like my left foot.

Currently I'm trying to learn the heel toe method of double bassing on a single pedal but im finding that I am getting a lot of strain and pain in my hip in my right leg cause my right foot is pointing away to the right.

Believe it or not but I sat at my Kit with my left foot on the bass pedal and it didnt hurt at all, was also faster and it was easier to learn...

Any tips will be muchly appreciated
Thanks heaps

Hey Lost,

I really think you should check this out. I just got the "Unburying the beater" DVD by Matt Ritter. It's really good (maybe even great)!

Have you tried angling your bass drum to mimic the natural angle of your foot?

Yeah it sounds you just need to adjust the position of your right pedal till you get comfortable.

LoL believe it or not but moving the bass drum to the same direction of my foot came to me as I was in the shower as I made the post.. But thanks MUCHO! it does help out a great deal.

Thanks once again
