Hello everyone,
I'm fairly new to the forum, and I thought I'd post my drums.
I've spent a lot of time moving stuff around and I think I've finally found the setup that is most comfortable for me.
Drums:
Pearl Export ELX in Black Burst finish:
18x22 bass drum
8x10 tom
11x14 suspended floor tom
5.5x14 snare
I also have a 9x12 tom that I'm not using at the moment
Percussion:
Toca Wooden Tone Block
Cymbals:
(left to right)
16" Zildjian Spiral Trash
14" Zildjian ZXT Titanium Rock Hats
9.5" Zil-Bel
17" Sabian HHX Stage Crash
20" Zildjian ZXT Titanium Rock Ride
18" Zildjian Oriental Classic China
12" Zildjian A Splash (brilliant finish)
19" Zildjian K Custom Hybrid Crash
I want to replace the Titaniums soon, I just need to find time to hit some drum stores.
Pedals: Yamaha Flying Dragon double bass pedal (direct drive).
Hardware: Various brands (Pearl, Tama, Yamaha, Gibraltar...)
(Please excuse the mess behind my drums)

Real nice kit, I like it. It does look real comfortable. How does that spiral trash sound? I've never seen anything like that before.

Very good looking kit, those titanium cymbals look extra beautiful matched with it, convert the whole kit to titanium!

Thank you for the comments everyone!
For those of who who are curious about the Spiral Trash : It produces a very cool trashy, washy effect when hit, and its almost as if you can hear the sound traveling down thorugh the sprials. I found this video on Youtube that shows some of the sounds you can get from it...

(I didn't make this video, nor am I in any way connected with the people who did)
I've tried placing it directly on top of a crash cymbal as well, it produced a muffled trash noise that decayed almost instantly.

I've always wanted to do that, just to see how it looks.
I remember a while ago, there was a kit of the month in Modern Drummer with only titanuim cymbals that looked really amazing.
...Nice kit you have there Human.
Could you do me a small favor and tell Erin to work harder in biology.
Thanks.

Nice setup! I really like your cymbal setup. Well, that is, you need to get rid of the Titaniums... but otherwise, it's great. I have played the spiral trash before, it is pretty unusual. Between it, your china, your bell and your splash you have a lot of sound effects to choose from.

And yes, I will tell her.

Getting rid of the titanuims is definitely on my to-do list. I just need to find some time to go cymbal shopping.
I do enjoy having many sound effects to choose from. =D
...Human.
I see that you play a mix of Zildjian and Sabian. If you want, you can borrow some of my strays. That might help you get a better idea of what you like without having to buy a bunch of duds along the way.
