My new Pearl Reference Kit
22 x 18 BD, 12 X 9 TT, 14 x 14 FT & 16 x 16 FT in Copperfire Sparkle
I will be playing this with my 14 x 6.5 Ludwig Black Beauty or my Pearl Omar H Sig snare and a mixture of Sabian and Zildjian Cymbals.
...Beautifull.
When I look at a kit like that, I am ashamed of my inability to find the right words to describe how nice they are.
Those are the sizes, and that is the finish that I would have chosen.
Pearl refference are the only drums that I would consider getting rid of my deedubs for. I am truly envious.

Beautiful drums my man. Pearls reference and masterworks are some of the best kits on the market IMO. I am not a big fan of sparkle finishes.. but this is very nice. Shimmer of oz is my fav sparkle finish.
And Barry..I would also consider The reference over dw's . But for sure the Masterworks over any of them!

I ordered Scarlet Fade - took it out of the box and told the shop to send it back - You have to see the Copperfire in real life - its beautiful.
I havn't really got to play the full kit yet, just the toms in our practice studio (there is a kick drum there for general use)
The floor toms have lots of bottom end, really beefy - I'm not totally in love with the 12" yet but im working on the tuning and have changed all the batter heads to Evans heads. I'll keep you all posted as I play around more.

I've had the off chance to play one of these kits, and they're some real good stuff. Congratulations. Can't wait to see it set up with cymbals.

Copperfire sparkle or Pink champagne.. either way that is pretty. Congrats on a gorgeous kit!
There is NOTHING pink about Copper Fire Sparkle...I know what you meant there, but this is a beautiful finish! Seen one UP CLOSE and personal!! A real beauty!
I have heard that the 12 can be kind of tough to tune but, once you get it....you'll be VERY happy!
Karl ... yes, Reference comes in about any size you'd want!
P.S ....pre-Happy Birthday my friend!

The 12" is the only drum with only one type of wood in it if I remember correctly. It is a full maple drum:)

That's what I'm talking about!!!! I'd love to gig with the kick, rack, and small floor, and nice SD.
You got a great kit my friend. Hope you got the muscle to lug it constantly -- the mahogany in those FTs and BDs really adds some weight.
