It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. I like the idea of a five piece kit, but I am having a hard time getting used to it. This three piece is a lot of fun. Cymbals include 14" Manhattan hats, 20" Manhattan ride (pre HHX), and an 18" Legacy crash.

I immediately had this pic in my mind when I saw your kit:

Very nice, beautiful cymbal selection and simple set-up. It`s huge fun to play on those "minimalistic" set-ups!

This is one of the few times that I like seeing Frankenkits. The 3 piece setup makes it even nicer :)

The eternal question is finally answered. Nice setup, the hand-hammered rides are great, although I've never heard a Manhattan pre-HHX.

...Thanks Guys.

It has been a lot of fun boppin around on this kit these past few days. I am waiting on a WMP 18x16" bass drum. and a 12x8" rack tom to go with the 14x14, (as per my original evil plan). When they get here, I am going to sell my tiger ash, and black oyster kits.

Karl. I wish you hadn't shown me that picture, as I only have room for one evil plan at a time.

youenjoy. I have two 20" Manhattan rides. They were from the original Hand Hammered series, before they switched them to the HHX line. I prefer these older ones as they are thin, dark, washy, and they crash really well. I am always on the lookout for these cymbals, and I will buy as many of them as I can find.

Once again, thanks for taking the time to reply to my overindulgence.
