Yeah, like the title says, is the snare any good? I could "borrow" it, but I was just wondering if
it would be worth it.

or to be more exact, is it better than a Mapex V snare?

I don't own one, but I've played around with it. I thought it was decent for a kit snare. The throw-off looks cheap though, lots of plastic.
