Drum trigging sounds

Is there anyone who know's which sounds the "big guys" like Tommy Lee, Eric Singer and so on, are using when they are trigging the drums ? Are they using stock sounds or are they using their own sampled drums ? - I'm thinking of sampling my own drums in a studio and then use them with my ddrum triggers and brain to beef up the sound and blend it with the sound of my miked top of the line acoustic kit - the same kit that I want to use in the studio. So is it overkill and of no use to trigger the drums with "my own" sounds or is it better to use some other samples ?
