Hey, Im gonna start using a bass drum trigger soon, not as easy as it sounds though is it!
What would anyone recommend as a module? I was thinking of a Roland TMC-6, unless anyone knows a cheaper option?

Welcome to the forum. Take a look at Ddrum triggers. They are fairly cheap but decent quality! (espiecally on Ebay)
In future, can you please post in the sub categories. Thanks :D!

Hey man, welcome!
That would be a fine module to use, but you can find all sorts of modules that'll do you well. I use the ddrum red-shot triggers with a Roland TD-6. Anything with the bass sound you want is all you need really.
Good luck.

just a warning for you; the Roland TMC-6 is not a module, there are no onboard sounds available with that unit. It is merely a 'trigger-to-midi' interface. You would connect triggers to the TMC-6, but would then have to connect the TMC-6 via midi cable to a drum module.
The TMC-6 is only meant to be an interface between your triggers and an actual sound module.
The 'cheapest' modules these days seem to be the Alesis DM5s; that's what most folks who only want to trigger bass drums use.
The Roland units are nice, but tend to cost a bit more; I don't know that they'd be the most practical solution for just triggering your bass.
