Hi All...

Looking to possibly add one of these for an interesting accent on certain songs, or to play in different parts of songs ...also will fit into the "adding color" to our original songs as well.

What's the best bang for you buck on these small snares ( 6x10) ..OR...maybe a 12"

Thoughts? Thanks.........

Best bang for your buck IMO is the Pork Pie Little Squealer, 5X12. You can get at musicians friend for cheap. Check out their reviews as well, over 200 and it's rated at 5 stars overall still. I've had the snare for almost a year and have had no problems with it. In fact, I used it as my main snare for one gig because of the venue we were playing at. I think it's awesome. As with anything though, others will differ and say it sucks..:o) Good Luck

Thanks UpandIn .......wasn't looking at spending that much, and I like the cymbal/tom arm type mounting on a 10" snare, but this may be something to look into,..thanks again

The Pearl Popcorn snares are super cheap and I have read a few good reviews in mags and on websites.
