I have a Mapex saturn kit,and had two questions.
1,Anyone know if the Tama rod will fit the Mapex tom mount?
2.I am aware of the Roadpro reputation for strength and durability but wondered if anyone had specific experience with this tama stand particularly,(combination cymbal & tom stand)?

Thanks to all who respond.

I don't know about the mapex thing but isn't that roadpro combination of tom and symbal stand just a cymbal stand with a clamp and a tom holder attached to it? If so, my tama came with one and they are fine. However, my advice is - if you have a bigger drum on that stand like I do - to put the tom holder directly into the stand and attach the cymbal holder with a clamp. Keeps your tom a little steadier.

Both are a 10.5 mm post so you should be good to go.

Actually, there is no clamp. The tom holder is part of the stand and the cymbal holder part inserts into it. Here's a link. The stand works very well, I swear by all of my Roadpro hardware. http://www.westcoastdrums.com/tarositomand.html

I have a tama roadpro double tomstand. it is very sturdy. also you can take one of the tome holders out and stick a boom arm in the hole. it works great for that.
