so i currently have a DW turquoise 22x18 bass and my toms are 10x8, 12x9, and 14x11

I like the way a double bass kit feels but im not in love with my current toms so the initial options were to buy a new kit in the desired dimensions i want. Or special order a kit in the same color i have now and use the bass drum i have now with my special ordered kit.

If i special order the kit im going to get turquoise : 20x18 , 8x8, 10x10, 14x11 floor 16x13 floor. ( i would just be using the bass drum from my old kit)

if i buy it stock from a gc its going to be. 22x18(2) 10x8, 12x9, 14x11 floor 16x13 floor.

both kits have ups and downs, if i special order ill have three extra toms that i can gig with, or add in for different sounds.
What do you think?

by the way the 8x8 and 10x10 are mainly influenced by the sound danny carey gets

If it were me, I would order the 20x18 and the 16x13 floor tom. You also need to be aware that the sound on any record is going to be affected by more than just the size of the toms. Keep trying to tune your drums until they sound good to you. This is something we drummers are guilty of not practicing enough; tuning our drums!

The drums are tuned great , but becasue of a tri tone they just dont sound great when hit together. Regardless .. if i order any drums im going to order a full kit just becasue ther not keller shells anymore and if i need to sell it one day i would like it to be a full kit made together. Thank you for your input
