For Entertainment purposes only, I offer the following from the SKB's website:

"Frequently Asked Questions for Percussion Products

What size cases do I need for my drums?

Our drum cases are designed with extra room to accomodate hardware/hoops mounted on the drum. If you have an 8x8 drum, get our 8x8 case. It's not necessary to "allow" for extra space in the case, because it's already designed in."

So, being a Sunday and all, I run down to the local music gear store. Open up an 8" x 8" SKB. Ask the salesman for that shiny new 8" x 8" DW tom off the shelf.

Ever try placing a square peg into a round hole? That is about the closest description as to what happened. Not even close. Probably off by 2 inches.

Amazing that they make it so difficult for consumers to purchase their product. They need to have a conversion chart, updated regularly, for the different major brands. Idiots.

Any of you guys actually using SKB with DW Collectors? What sizes match up? Joey
