PDP X7 kit

Just got myself a PDP X7 kit in red to black sparkle.

It looks great.

I've put good heads on it, but have only had a tinker on it in the house.

Anyone played one in a live rock situation?

Congrats on the new kit, I like your choice of finish. How she does live depends on how you mic her up. Without mics, the pop shells should cut through just fine. I would suggest you definitely change the bass drum head (batter side) to an EMAD or Superkick if you already haven't. Good luck.

Ive got an X7, also in red to black sparkle. and id like to say i admire your taste.
I have used these drums in gigs, and recording. They sounded great live, great sound, filled the house. and when you put the mics on them they suond fantastic, they really come through in recording.
provided you tune 'em just right, you've got some awesome drums.
