Is anyone familiar with Alvin Fielder? He played with Sun Ra's Arkestra, Kidd Jordan and a lot of others.
He has a record out as a leader that is really great. It features Dennis Gonzales on Trumpet and Chris Parker on Piano. Gonzales sons, who play bass and drums, are on a few of the tracks as well.
I've had this record for a couple of months now and just can't stop listening to it.
