while im in florida, with the multitudes of spare time i have im practicing out of 4 way coordination (a great book to pick up) and was putzing around with a mozambique whenever i was taking a break, then i got the idea to do a samba with my other limbs while i keep the mozambique with my right,
i have it written out since doing this helps me learn rhythms, but im having some trouble laying it completely down, i can a simple pattern over a samba no problem, but
if anyone has video of someone doing this a link would be appreciated.

I remember first learning those rhythms and doing the samba with my feet and the Mozambique with my hands. I remember someone telling me that they were two different rhythms from two different cultures/ parts of the world the samba being Brazilian and the Mozambque being Afro Cuban or African or Cuban by way of Africa I believe. It is good to know that but I am by no means a tradtionalist in those styles and I just enjoyed doing the two rythms together at the time. I also liked doing the Guaguanco over the Samba..I mostly do Quazi versions now of Brazilian and Afro Cuban rhythms in a straight ahead American Jazz situation and just try to make it feel good for the band and listen. I was getting into that whole clave with the right foot(I am a Lefty) but took a break from it. I need to keep it simpler than that. That's what works best for me..Have fun...
