Man,
since you bumped...the sound on the track was awful number one, which makes us looking at it, a little less comfortable with hearing it! You have the basic rhythm down, but from what i can see your not comfortable playing at all...maybe it was just the song, as you said you had only heard it twice...your fills are mostly out of time, and you really dont look into it... you have the basic rhythm which is great, and your snare hits are all well executed until you get to the fills... i cant hear the bass, but i think its ok....
how long have you been playing?
also i wouldnt have chosen that prodigy track!!id have gone for "Poison" or "firestarter" or something!!

You are right that i was not relly comfortable playing. The fact that i was being filmed made me very stiff and not at all relaxed.
Also the fills being out of time had a lot to do with me not hearing the track properly. I have louder speakers in my now so hopefully i will not have that problem next time i make a video.
And by the way, ive been playing for two years.

More powerful speakers in your drum room sounds like a good idea. Seems like you have the groove down pretty well (give or take a few details) but you clearly couldn't hear a thing of the track.
You could also try some isolating headphones?

You've got the groove down for sure, but I think because you haven't played it too much before, its not clean and articulated. Might be a nice idea to play it with a metronome first .. that forces you to play cleaner.
I'd also try and put a little more wrist snap into your left hand.. that will make those strokes more crisp.
You have a nice feel.

kieron pepper is a pretty simple drummer. you have the 'main' groove down generally ok, but you need to work on the breakdowns (and fills) :)
nice attempt though!
