In jojo mayer's dvd he refers to the traditional grip gears like so:
1.Thumb technique trad
2.Radius/ Ulna Technique
3.finger technique
Do u guys agree on this? I personally think its finger before radius ulna, what are you're thoughts on this?

He goes from the big ''gears'' to the smallest ''gears''
by opening your hand and controlling the stick mostly with the thumb, you can get a really big sound, radius / Ulna technique (motion) is like wrist strokes for matched grip, personally I would call it as one of the most useful techniques for trad grip, with this technique reversed accents become peace of cake, and you can get plenty of power, because you're using pretty much the whole lower arm!
fingers are the smallest gear for every grip, so yes, I fully agree with Jojo!

I personally think it should be:
Gear 1 in Trad = Thumb or finger technique
Gear 2 = radius ulna
gear 3 = add wrist
then up the arm to the albow and shoulders.
