Pearl firecracker

I'm having a tough time trying to decide whether or not i should get the pearl steel firecracker snare. Any opinions on the snare?

i purchased one about 2 months ago, its loud, even louder with a good rim shot.
i didnt like it very much though, dont get me wrong, good snare,but, it just didnt suit my style of playing.

good for rock, if thats what you play, then get it.

I played a steel firecracker and it was loud and had a nice crack to it. But then I saw a tama steel soprano, hammered, played on it and fell in love. Granted it was $50 more, but the construction looked and felt alot more sturdier and it had a warmer sound to it. More richer. Instead of a bunch of high frequency like the firecracker, you get much more mid and low tones though it still maintains a nice pop and crack.
