Nice setup. I love that type of setup. The one small tom and the two boomers to the right. If I ever get me a 16" floor tom, that's my fallback. I've got the 8" tom up to the left of the first mounted tom and no second floor tom.

Names Dennis, I live in northern Quebec. 50 years young and having a great time playing the drums. Found out one day that I might be able to do three or four things at the same time. Started out on a friends Yamaha DD-50 and promptly broke it 3 or 4 times. Theyre not the sturdiest things. Bought myself some Pearl Target drums. They were ok but I wanted more sound and so I sold them for double my purchase price and bought some Tribal brand drums. Strangely not sure where they are made but they are maple and sound amazing. 12, 13 inch toms, 14 inch floor tom and a 22 inch bass. Came with a Tama Iron Cobra dbl pedal and the box. Also 12 in splash, 16 in crash, 17 in crash, 20 in medium ride, 20 in chinese, the cymbal stands, hihat and cymbals of course. And a seat. The seller said he just bought the pedals for $430 and I got everything for $875. Good deal or not? This is the sellers pic...note the upside down chinese cymbal. Guess he preferred it that way. I added my own 18inch thin crash and 20 in ride to the mix. Much more fun and options to play around with.

This was a concept I came up with. Anyone who knows me or knows me around this forum knows of my love for swimming as well as drumming. The shot was taken by Rob over at GMS (http://www.gmsdrums.com/) with a little magic done by my wife Breigh. The drum head itself was based on a photo I took at the Camden Aquarium in NJ and designed by wife Breigh.

The ad is in the current August '10 issue of DRUM! Magazine and is set to be in a few more I believe according to Jim. I hope you all like it as much as I had fun doing it.

This is from a gig last spring. We are dressed in replica AAF uniforms because we were doing a WWII show with music from the era though we travel with over a thousand charts (some of which I have not played) and can do lots of other big band music. The hammer on the stack of music is a paperweight.

Heyas all! I'm Dan from Southern Oregon. Crappy webcam pic, not behind my kit, which I just in fact ordered this evening.

I played drums back in high school, and took a 25 year (yes you read it right) break. Things are mellowing out somewhat now in life, and I'm getting back to a kit before I die.

I've told myself every year since I turned 24-25 that I need to get back to beating the skins, but - as life goes, here I am at 41. Its about time to get back on a throne.

I own an electronic kit and this somehow got into my room, I dunno how. I use the scarf as a good luck thing... however I'd love to own a full on kit, but I'm one of these unfortunate people who live at home with parents and because of fussy neighbors, so I have to keep it quiet. For now, this is working out great, but this is the beginning....

Been taking lessons for three months now and I'm improving all the time. And there's one important lesson and it's called 'lots of practice'. Still though, it's fun!

Haha, it's a bit like a padded cell, which feels quiet appropriate at times though not much room to bounce off of them. It's just cheap bed quilts I used to help stop the high frequency sound bouncing around the room so much - it definitely helps. Oddly it makes the room feel like a nicer place to be too.

Yep my trusty 84' tour customs..I'm bald so the bowler keeps the sweat out of my eyes..lol

I forgot my splash stand..duh.lol, so I don't. usually use a regular cymbal stand for a splash.

Hi. I hail from Auckland New Zealand, though I currently reside in Japan. Played drums from around 10 years old to 24, then quit - moving into samplers and electronic music (was sick of playing in ego driven bands basically)...

Discovered "mesh head" Roland V-Drums accidentally online one day and decided to start again. That was about 15 months ago. Still working on timing and the finer points that you lose over 15 years of doing no practice.... but getting there.

Heres a brief photo history - me at school in my band in 87, me off to do a gig with my band in 1990 and me now playing V-drums on Youtube. Also featured is Max, our dog, who is an aspiring percussionist in his freetime.

Yep. Both gigs were miserable. The restaurant on Saturday, although by the beach with the windows opened, had no wind at all. The Sunday outdoor show was just this stifling humid heat cooking everybody on a parking lot! I'm just now getting back to feeling somewhat normal - I think the heat is breaking down. Too slowly I might add.
