Pearl vision tuning

Hi

i just add new head on my vision drum, evans g2 on the top and genera resonant on the bottom but i have hard time to tune it since its the first time that i own a pearl with the iss system that clamp on the rim. It s seem that the 2 clamp of the iss apply tension on the rim and change the sound of my 10 inches toms.

What is the best way to tune with this system does i have to tight the 2 clamp first and after doing the star pattern like the other brand ????

I'm not familiar with this system personally but if it is affecting the tuning that much I would put it on first, and then just tune as normal. But then again if it's making tuning that hard I would get rid of it and install a Pearl Optimount.
