There once was a time about 5 years ago where i knew all 41 rudiments. Over the years, i've gotten more into speedy forms of metal and focused on single stroke rolls of 16, 32, and 64th notes, and triplets. I stopped using the rudiments, so i completely forgot almost all of them. Will knowing them and implementing them into playing make my style more impressive?

Yes, because if you can actually show that you can implement something it would be impressive.

If complex technical fills and soloing impress you...then yes, it's a mathematical fact. There are more possible outcomes w/ an increased number of patterns being used...especially when you factor that across several drums (toms, snare, kick, etc.)

However, if fast singles and triplets impress you and your audience...then you're probably already a very impressive drummer.
