I have one and when I first got it, I made the mistakee of cranking it all the way, which choked the sound. I tuned it down, changed the batter head to an Evans Generra Dry Vented and now it sings really nicely!!!!! I heard it on a recording and it gives off a big & nice tone!!!!! I am also thinking about changing the snare wires out.

Equipped with die-cast hoops & Remo CS batter head, this drum is absolutely wonderful and records great.

Did any of you notice the bearing edges at the seam? I had this snare and just days after having it I removed the heads only to find horrible edges right at the seam. The snare itself sounded great.
