Hi guys,
Sorry, not a drummer, but my daughter is, and we ordered (on 6th Dec) a copy of the icanplaydrums.com UDS 2007 DVD's for her main Christmas present...and it still hasn't arrived. :-(
Just wondering if anyone else had ordered and got theirs yet?
We are in Sydney, so delivery should have been pretty much next day...have tried emailing, phoning and messaging...got 1 email last week saying it has been shipped...but nothing since, despite daily attempts to contact them.
Cheers,
Greg

Hi Greg,
Mines on order. They did say it was only arriving with them on the 12th. Then it has to be packed and shipped. If you're worried whether you'll receive it then I wouldn't, always had good service from Jack but if you need it for Christmas day it may be in the lap of the gods!!! Here's hoping!

Thanks for that...but just can't understand why at the time of a major new release, no one is contactable, just seems very unprofessional.
The really annoying thing is that you can send stuff from Melbourne to Sydney (overnight delivery) for $10 and if they'd answer their phone, or respond to emails I could have arranged that and avoided all this stress.
She's been hanging out for this all year, and now I'm looking at having to go out and buy something else for her main Christmas present...not happy.

If you don't want to keep your copy, let me know. I sent a question and posted something here three days ago, and while waiting for an answer the price shot up to $390. No way I can spend that much. I'd be willing to pay you back what you spent and take over your wait.

If it doesn't arrive for Christmas, I may take you up on that offer.
Did you get any response from them?
Cheers,
Greg

Hey Greg,
Being in Sydney, maybe you should look into getting her an actual teacher rather than just self help type books and dvds. Being a drummer of 27 years, I still benefit a lot from watching dvds and reading books, but the biggest help for me has always been the guidance I have had from my teachers. I still take lessons from time to time.
If you want, try Drum City at Petersham, or Billy Hyde Drumcraft at Surry Hills. These places have great teachers on staff. I will be starting private lessons myself beginner-intermediate in Feb/March next year.

Thanks Andrew, and yes, she'll be having lessons also...but she's been very keen to get these JB vids for a looong time now...so I'm hoping they'll arrive soon.
Cheers,
Greg

Cool, that means mine are flying across some ocean at the moment and should be with me in the New Year. How do they compare with the old UDS?

I am still waiting on my order as well. I paid for mine on Dec. 10th. The only reply I have recieved is that the order was received and processed, that was over a week ago.
Sent an email today 12/28/07 to see if it had been shipped. Hoping for a much quicker reply than what I have been experiencing.
I am located in the United States.

My patience and faith has been rewarded. Just received mine this morning from a very grumpy postman who obviously didn't want to even try to get to through the letterbox. Haven't opened it yet though. Trying to concentrate on getting some reports done for work :o(

1/06/08, No Joy so far, but I did get a reply to my most recent e-mail within a couple of days sending it on 12/28/07.
I received the following reply on 12/30/07.
"Your order would have been one of the first to be shipped, on or around the 12th, as you made your purchase on the 10th. To keep the costs at a minimum for the customer, we ship via Regular Australian Air Mail, which does not provide tracking numbers. You should receive your order really soon, however we just cannot guarantee the postal services over the Christmas period especially. Let me know - a lot of people have received their orders now, however there are still some who are waiting and we're putting it down to the time of year. I know you must be anxious to receive the collection."

I've been waiting for mine too. I ordered it December 10 and live in the US. I received a similar reply to my e-mails promising it soon.
I sent another today asking them to re-send since it's been almost a month.
