The band sounds great Eddie sounds classic as usual and Steve...great playing! I love how he involves "his" licks into solos...sounds like him. When was this recorded?

Is it just me, or did he used to muffle the hell out of his kit? His snare sounds completely different from his signature model. Great groovin' though, can't deny the master.

I totally agree, his snare sounds like a paper bag in this video. Still some nice groovin' though.

Yeah, but he doesn't use it that much. The last few times I saw him he switched here and there, but still loves the traditional grip. That's his feel man.

Yes, take a look at the old videos on his page vs. newer videos. He has a more open tone now. Back in the day he was using pinstripes and I believe hydraulics on his tom, and usually had a Powerstroke 3 with a RemO Ring on it.

That's a great clip, likely taped off of German TV (I believe Ohne Filter is a German TV show). Other Ohne Filter concerts have been released to DVD; I hope this concert will be too.

Yes, Gadd's always had a very dead-sounding kit--I believe he still uses 2-ply heads--but I love his playing in spite of his sound.

That dead sounding kit is totally not working for me, esp when they segue into the latin feel.
