Yamaha Stage Custom. Greatest drum company and a pro level sound for an intermediate price. Can never go wrong with Yamaha.

Out of the 3 yamaha definitley.
But over all of those i would definitley choose a Gretsch Catalina. They are so nice, do your self a favor and take a look.

For durability and quality go with Yamaha. The Stage Customs have been consistant for years. The pdp and Pearl quality is a huge gamble these days.

I'd definitely take the Yamaha over the other 2.

I will be the disenting opinion here because you would be getting maple shells with the PDP. It is something to consider. The Yamaha is a combination of birch, mohogany, and falkata. And your really aren't getting an idea of what any of these drums actually sound like. The only way to really do that is by going to the store and checking them out, if at all possible.

I'm with him...all maple shells! I just picked up a Gretsch Catalina Maple. Great sound!

Sonor 3005, 3007 maybe. Yamaha best of the three you listed.

Yamaha, better finish, better hardware...but the gretch and sonor guys have something too.

Other than price and the "free" tom, these kits are made of different woods. So lets throw the sound factor out. I'd go with the Yamaha, for it's fit, finish, and hardware. I think the Yamaha tom mount system blows both the Pearl and Pacific out of the water. I've never liked the Pearl twin arm out of the kick design, and I'm not a big fan of the L-arm either. Yamaha does it right, with a much updated Rogers/Slingerland omni-ball and hex arm mount.
