I managed to pick up four Gibraltar multi-clamps and a 20" Sabian AA Medium ride for $20 tonight. Apparently someone gave my neighbor a beat up set and he has no real use for it. I almost bought the whole kit, but I realized I didn't have any room for it (and my wife would kill me for bringing home a stray puppy). I don't know what brand it was, but I'm sure a little TLC would have made it a great player kit. I may try to get the snare. You can never have too many snares.

I'll probably sell the ride but I want to try it out first. It's in great condition.

YES! It's like $120 worth of clamps. I was like... oh my... I played it cool. He didn't know what he had. He wanted to dump the whole kit for $100, and as I was looking at it he dropped to $50. I took the best stuff. I probably could have given him $5, but I would have felt bad. If I can't get the snare for free, I may toss in the fiver. lol

Nice. It's always a good day when the gods smile upon we drummers. May they continue to bring you great prosperity.

wooow, even that ride for next to nothing... it's unfair. I won't even be able to buy a Pearl Ride like mine for $20...

Good find!
I paid $30 for one clamp!

Yes - I agree - you can never have too many snare drums. I just started to get back into drumming and I already have two Gretsch snares.

Merry Chirstmas to you and yours!

hahahahahahahaha

As an update, I tried out the AA ride. It's actually pretty nice sounding. It's crashable, and has a decent bell. I'm really in love with my current rides though, so I hit up Saluda about a trade. I'm looking at picking up an 18" Diamond thin crash or a 22" Diamond thin ride. Crash has the priority, but if I can get enough for the Sabian I may be able to spring for both.

steal of the year!!

it's such a shame for the people who don't know what they've got, but so great for those that know and buy off them.

this will take some beating chief, the new level of bargain hunting has been reached...
