Mine is more related to DrummerWorld than to actual drumming. I'm getting a high definition 40GB hard drive camcorder so that I can make better videos for the main site. You should start seeing the results about half-way through January.

I'm hoping for money so that I can restore my bank account from the hit it's going to take when I buy presents for everybody else. Christmas is all about breaking even for me. And if I end up in the black, it's an extra special Christmas.

I'm hoping for this baby to ship from Canada before I leave for California on the 24th. (Actually DogBreath I'm gonna be in Vegas one night to see the Beatles Love Cirque De Soleil show... maybe I'll see along the strip?) :-)

Nice! Thats great!

I never ask for drum stuff for Christmas or birthdays. The world of drum gear is too confusing for any relation to get what I really want!

I would love to catch another Cirque show sometime. I used to go when the tickets were only about $20 each. Wanna guess how long ago that was? Have a good time and tell us about the show when you get home.

Haha... well let's just say that the tickets for the show I'm going to were pricey even when you count inflation.

Oh also I forgot to add I want to get some Vic Firth stereo isolation headphones... but I don't want to be too greedy.

The usual: drums, cymbals, hardware, sticks, heads, cowbells (gotta have more cowbell!!!), etc.
But I'd really like a Macbook Pro (for my future inspired-by-handidrummed site)
I also wouldn't mind a nice watch.

Lots of stuff, this is a combination of my money, relatives, Shane from Just Drums, and Tim (crazyhorse).

18" Saluda Mist X Medium Dark Crash
22" Saluda Mist X Heavy Dry Dark Ride
14" Meinl Generation X Filter China
3 Gibraltar Cymbal Clamps
Evans G2 Coated 10" 12" 14"
Evans Resonant Glass 10" 12" 14"
14" Steambent Birch Snare

I might actually get most if not all of this.

-My 14" Myrtle Snare from CrazyHorse, but it may not arrive until after.

-New Heads...thinking Fiberskyn/Ambassadors for all my drums.

But I'm buying all these myself, so I'm not really hoping for them for Christmas. My wife lets the drum stuff get handled by me :) I'm actually not hoping for anything else. We're not really doing gifts this year in my family. We don't need anything.

I begged, I pleaded, but alas my efforts for worthless. What I really wanted was just a little out of price range. It was a 14 x 5.5 Slingerland Radio King snare being sold on Craigslist.

I settled for a video camera and some replacement wood hoops.

I am saving to get a new years gift of a DW 7000 double pedal , a 18" crash Paiste or Z (not sure have to go hit some)and maybe some pinstripe heads. I also would like to get a china crash with a long wash sound.Just let me loose in guitar center and let me keep what I can carry LOL. To bad we can't do a gift exchange on here I would love to send a gift out to someone and get something.
I hope all you drummer girls and boys get some things you want.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

A cd...not sure what it is, but it came in a pack with David Campbell: The Swing Sessions so I'm guessing it's big band/jazz. Umm, money (not expecting much of it though). Probs about it, drum related.

I hope for a lot of things, but I know none of them will happen. I don't think i'll really get anything other thatn whatever people feel so compelled by their own will to give me.
But things that I want (materially, at least) are some new Sabians, a bunch of recording gear, a new bass and electric guitar- pretty much I want to have my own home studio decently equipped; but thats a dream and not something I expect from just one x-mas (or even in the next 5 years).

I'm hoping for money so that I can restore my bank account from the hit it's going to take when I buy presents for everybody else. Christmas is all about breaking even for me. And if I end up in the black, it's an extra special Christmas.

Oh man I hear that! This has been the hardest time of the year for me for the last couple of years. Work is typically slow now and after buying everyone else's gifts I'm usually very, very broke and holding my breath until my tax return arrives. However, this is the first year I'm actually not stressed out. A couple of weeks ago my boss basically hung me out to dry, and in the wake, I started picking up work on my own which has made these last couple of weeks the best paid ones all year. Now I've got work for myself lined up for the next few weeks, with other prospects to follow up on at the end of it.

My wife and I were smart though. We started buying gifts for the kids a few months ago... one a week. As of a week or so ago, all of their presents were acquired. Tonight I'm putting photo books together for our parents and grandparents. My wife and I are getting my step bro and his wife a couple gift certificates to restaurants I believe. I'm giving my bro in law the motorbike collage I did a couple years ago (very nice pro print in a frame). I'm getting my wife a new stereo for her minivan.

For me, I'm getting some cool stuff; a four channel (two source) headphone amp so my band mate and I can FINALLY have headphone mixes when we record; a DI box to use for guitar, bass, keys, etc, and re-amping; a nice soldering station and a fairly decent multimeter so I can begin working on electronic kits soon. I'm hoping to get some new acoustic guitar strings so I can finally start recording one of my new songs. Oh, and my wife bought me a Rubik's Cube cuz my old one teleported into another dimension.

I need money towards a 20" Paiste Crash. My 18" A Custom crash had a crack in it from people mis-handing it (i'm never letting anyone else touch my drums or cymbals ever!!). It's 325 dollars and people said that they'd pitch in which is nice. That's what I am hoping for.

Well who doesn't need a full complement of new heads? Probably something I should buy more often. Bad me.

Anyway, Aquarians all around. I will probably go with some Response 2s on the toms. I actually prefer that might toms don't ring for eternity. I like short sustain.

My snare will be outfitted with a 14" Focus-X.

And, of course, a Superkick II.

Classic clears all around for resos.

Hey man, I did that three years ago and never looked back. Yes, it's unnerving not knowing where the next mortgage payment is coming from and yes, it can be stressful but you can get so much more personally and financially from working on your own. Do a good job and they'll be back for lots more.

Best of luck in the New Year

Thanks. Honestly, wondering where the next mortgage payment was coming from was a worry before as well. That's because the guy I was working with wasn't very proactive about finding work. He waited for it to fall in his lap. There were many times this past year when I found myself not working at the last minute. He also didn't like to work full days. We averaged five to six hours of work a day at most this year. This past week I've been averaging nine hours a day on a new job for a couple remodeling their home. They are very happy with the work I've been doing. I'm supposed to finish up another job over the weekend- one that I had done with my boss, but the home owners called and said they wanted me to come finish it alone. I like staying busy like this. You never know when those rainy days will come.

Ohio USPS is notoriously slow. It has taken 4 days for a letter to go from downtown to my house; it only took 3 days to get a letter from my house to Arizona via UPS Letter.

Non drum related, a Glock 32. if you have a bad practice day, it could become drum related very fast.

Well, it'll probably come in boxes over the next few weeks, so it's not exactly "for Christmas," but it is kinda coming out of Christmas windfall cash...

New Tama Superstar SK fusion kit with added 16" floor tom in brushed metallic black. Paiste PST 5 rock pack for an out-of-the box setup. Iron Cobra Jr. double bass pedal, Roc-n-Soc Nitro throne.

I was on Santa's REALLY nice list. Will post pics when it's here and all set up.

14" K Light hats
20" K Custom Hybrid ride
24" K Light ride (actually bought this one for myself a few hours ago, but my Christmas cash helped so it counts)

Hopefully I won't need anymore cymbals for a long time.

I'll probably get a book on C programming with my Barnes & Noble gift card, some CDs with the Amazon one, and a cowbell with the MF one.

I know I am late. But I wasn't on this for a while.
I got (from my amazing girl friend) a Trick Kodiak snare. Its one of their old models. As some of you know their shells are about 3.2mm thick. Well this snare is the same metal, but its about 8mm thick! Its a monster!! I am going to ship it to Mike at TRICK soon and have him put a 007 throw off on and maybe refinish it.
Not drum stuff I got socks and a book on firefighting. (Thats my next job I hope!)
