Ok, we're down to custom kit, but I've hit another wall...

Does anyone have an opinion on the sound/tone of Purpleheart for a drumset? I read that it's really warm and clear, but I don't understand that... if it's so hard it should be brighter or colder.

I heard RMV unveiled a Purpleheart line (limited), but it's my understading that RMV also has no North American distributor. Do you have a link to a site/builder?

Do you mean national distributor? My local 5-Star shop has sold a few kits now and then; they don't keep a full line at any given time, but they usually have 1 a month or so.

Yeah earlier this year RMV lost their US distributor. I think the purple heart was a limited run anyway, though. I think Taye might do something in Purpleheart, but not sure.
