I've seen a few different taiko drumming groups and thought they all were pretty frickin cool. saw the drummers of burundi back when they toured the US about 10+ years ago. they have a CD but it's not nearly as good as the live show.

I know its got nothing to do with the show your going to see...but my favourite japanese drummers are from the band 'seatbelts'.....Yasuo Sano, Akira Sotoyama...you wont have heard of them i doubt....beautiful, contemporary jazz music....led me on to Coltrane and Miles Davis....

Cowboy Bebop is great. i've always loved the music too. guess I'll have to look up those guys.
