Hi folks!

Recorded som video of me just laying it down yesterday and forced myself to write some music on top of it...

Drums are just recorded with the Zoom H4 so the sound isn't that great.

Drums are as ever inspired by Jeff.

Enjoy!

somebody tried to eat your crash...

Nice groove by the way, it's a lot like what you did before.

Ahem? 'xcuse me? :) I think the Zoom sounds pretty dang good. Yours included although the tom sound could be better. Where did you place it? Great playing as well.

Haha, yes I was hungry the other day...

Thanks man. I can't enough of this type of groove. It's a dying breed in today's commercial music... :(

It's alright sounding...but compared to my 14 top class mics... ;)

I placed it 15 feet in front of kit, snare height...

Thanks for tuning in.

Maybe so, but it's still a timeless style of playing. It's solid, simple, and feels good. There's room to breathe, and It has forward motion.

You've got a lot of talent. Very nice!

I love your playing style!
Your groove fits the song well (Or did you say you wrote music on top of it?!) and the hi hat and snare sound is killer, just the way I love it.
The zoom h4's sound is awesome, and is better than some recordings I have heard in the past.

You have not let me down nerg...still as tight and groovy as always!!!!!

Great sound from the H4 too....I have heard good things from the H2/H4 owners on these boards so I may well be investing in one for band rehearsals as we record every session. A lot simpler than taking my Fostex everytime and setting up 2 condensers!!

yup, west coast cool. session-tight. : )

Peter, super playing as always... and very disciplined, I might add. Not 1 16th note, and you made it sound so good ; )

Very nice Peter. Great, simple groove, and right on the cues. Love it. Goes well with the part of me that loves Smooth Jazz.

Peter. the bass is so totally locked with your bass pedal. did you copy the foot pattern to the bass or vice versa?

Thanks man. Yup, I wrote music on top of the groove. I do that quite often, let the groove inspire some music.

Cheers

I played the bass on top of the bassdrum all the way through. I guess it's easy for one person to really lock parts as the time will be the same.

Hey, Nergy!

Very nice! Reminds me of some of the R&B of the '70s; dynamic but smooth.

Yeah, you locked into the bass alright, but I really liked your hi-hat technique; subtle, beautiful sound. And right on!

I look forward to more....
