After playing a cocktail kit for five years, and standing through three sets per night
I started using a bar stool, and a snare case on my left foot - really changed
my approach to the Cocktail kit - plus I can stand up when I want to - for
visual or just for the fun of it. It's a much different feeling, when your able to
be eye to eye with the rest of the band.
Sitting in a high position gives you much more technique on the kick drum
and the left foot on the snare case - I drop a tamborine on it, and my remote high hat
pedal -
it's pretty great... check them out at www.metrodrum.com
