Here is my set. I am officially done with buy drum gear except for heads and sticks.

26 x 14, 18 x 16, 16 x 16, 14 x 10 Ludwig Classic Maple in Green Sparkle.

Along with her, I have a 14 x 6.5 Supraphonic snare and 2002 Paiste Cymbals (24 ride, 15 sound edge hats, 20 and 18 medium crashes).

My kit has a story. This kit was purchased originally by the one and only Lenny Kravitz! The boxes have HIS name on them (marked out with black marker, but you can still read it!). Lenny changed his order last minute and wanted a different color. This was for his own personnal use. The Zep bug bit him as of late as it seems to have bitten everyone else! Anyway, that is why I got the drums so cheap.

About the store. I bought them from Ontario Music in Ontario California. Looks like a tiny hole in the wall shop. However, you open the door and it is a MASSIVE shop. Almost the size of a GC. Anyway, tons of historical snare drums on display there. They had Bonham's 77 Tour Supra, 2 of Alex VHs BB Snares from 1978 and 1980 tours. Had a couple of snares from Ringo Star (not used with the beatles) and some others. They were displayed in a nice case for all to drool over.

There is a huge difference in sound from the Accent Zep Set. A lot more resonance throught the kit. I love the kit!!

Nice kit, great deal. I hope to have a big kit myself someday, but the thought of transporting it made me think of buying a club kit instead. Good luck with that one though, hope it works well.

You have there, as they say "the real deal". Indeed, not a zep set. Cool that you got them thru Ontario Music. Todd Trent (owner) is one hell of a nice cat. And he's the West Coast regional Ludwig guy, so you have just made yourself about the ultimate Ludwig connection. Sweet.

Todd was a very nice guy. Great to work with.

His store was great. I brought my mentally disabled brother with me (severe bipolar disorder) who is a guitarist and he can be a bit of a handful. Anyway, they took their time with my brother and didn't give him any problems. They were nothing but helpful with him.

Question: Do you do a lot of heavy style rock in your band? I've always wondered that about these 'bigger' kits, or Bonzo type kits, w/ the bigger sizes .....I can see them as a "second" kit for real heavy stuff, or Zepp covers or something....but I can' see them being 'that' versatile because of their sizes.

No issues w/ the kit ..it's gorgeous! Just wondering about the limitations, that's all,...curious....

On edit: Harry, maybe you can chime in too since you have a monster also! :)

I'm pretty sure that's what Stanton Moore does. It's pretty cool.

All we play is classic rock! I am sure it has limitations as to what it is practical. However, I think it can be used in any rock setting.

Having a 14 inch tom as your "high" tom is definitely different.

It rocks though. If I start playing other types of music, I will buy a smaller kit for sure. I just don't see that happening in the immedate future.
