hi everyones

i come back with a little clip of a jam with my friend Amrat Hussain,indian "master of tabla",

it was the firts time we met, the sound is not so good and i'didn't let him speak so much ....

but it was a wonderfull moment of emotion and music for me...i will never forget this gig with a so great master...

Its a great idea for serious drumset players to jam with tabla players because their understanding for time signatures is highly evolved and more complex than anything one might have experienced in western notation or even the afro cuban genre.

It is also remarkably different because they have a very linear sense of rhythm, with voicings also defining patterns, which are often even broken into fractions.

Guys like Steve Smith, Dennis, Trilik Gurtu, and many others have adapted this to the drumset and dramatically expanded their vocabulary.
