Hi All,

Here is a video of the SUTN house band performance from the Stand Up It’s Thursday Night show that was uploaded to YouTube recently. It’s a song from the Smiths called “There is a light that never goes out” from their 1986 album “The Queen is Dead”.

I like the latin/jazz feel and that the feel/groove is different from the original Smiths' song.

Your feedback on anything about the performance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Wow !
A very interesting interpretation of a great song! Nice drumming and the rest of the band sounded great too. I still think I like the original song more but it was refreshing to hear a bit more unorthodox way of covering the Smiths :). Have you covered any other Smiths songs this way? It would be interesting to see how they turned out.

When I'm asked an honest opinion, I try any give one:

You're better than the band IMO.

I didn't know the song by the Smiths (neither do I know who they are anyway), but I really liked the latin feel ringing a slight jazz bell ... Nice drumming, too.

I agree. Your playing was really nice - very solid and relaxed.
