Ok, I've got myself a Yamaha Musashi 13x6 snare on the way and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a throwoff, i hear they aren't that good. And in case you are wonderng why the title says Quickfire, it's because Its just a quick little thread I guess! Cheers guys!

As I mentioned before, the throw on the one I had and sold to IDDrummer on this forum, was sticking so I put one little dab of vaseline on the slot and it worked 100 percent. Try that or some lithium grease, and I mean dab like on a QTip, before you get too ecited about replacing it. PM IDDrummer and see if he is having any problems now.

I know I mentioned that the strainer was dodgy, but I really don't think you'll need to replace it or anything. I'm fine with mine the way it is, it's just not as advanced and/or smooth as some of the hardware on the market. I guess all I'm saying is that I don't think it should be a priority item and will probably be just fine as is. Congrats! A sweet snare drum is in your future.
