Hello All...did a search on this and found nothing. If this was covered somewhere else, I'll accept the flogging ropes...

In the process of checking out yet more of the "low-to-midrange" lines and smaller brands, I came across a disturbing report from a guy working at Guitar Center related to the "better" lines from ddrum. For brevity's sake, here is a link regarding this that I posted over at ddrum's forum in hopes of getting an answer...

Lug Integrity Issue (http://www.ddrum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=768)

Anyone over here familiar with this, or is everyone hearing the same 3rd or 4th party hearsay? I'd hate to be scared off of a brand based on incomplete or incorrect info.

For those who look this thread up on a future search...

There was a follow-up from a customer who ran into the weak lug issue. Fortunately, ddrum stepped up, supplied redesigned parts quickly with no questions asked, and has either redesigned their lugs or cracked the whip on suppliers.

So...points to ddrum for actively following up and fixing a problem. While their PR wasn't perfect when this happened, I'm happy enough with what I'm hearing from customers that I'll consider them in the "final round" for the purchase.

...and yes, to those who have provided much-appreciated input, I will post up when the kit is in-hand and set up. Thanks.
