I personally would have chosen a 12" rack just so there was good speparation between the toms; 2" difference is a nice size, especially when there is more than two toms.
You might just have to tune the 13" a little higher to get the separation, assuming thats what you want.
Remember, 12", 13" 16" was the standard for quite a while and it worked, so I don't see why 13", 14" 16" won't work.
Make sure you post pics when you get it, it sounds like a great kit.

ozzis right, 12 would be the more obvious choice, but its nothing tuning cant take care of

Also, the fact that the 13 is a rack tom and not square and the 14 is a floor tom and is square will add some seperation. I'm sure it will be fine.

no problem for me about it that a good tuning can solve, more 13" is 10 deep
14" is 14" deep they are different
...Personally, I think that you made a very good choice.
You will have more versatillity with the 13" than you would with a 12, as you should have better bottom end range. You may not get to tune the 13 as high as a 12, but if you want that kind of pitch, buy bongos.

In this picture, I have a Ludwig 14x14" floor tom with a pair of 16 and 13" DW toms. These drums are somewhat different in their construction and sound, but I can still tune the three drums to sound like they are from the same family. Having matching drums will probably make that familial connection a lot easier.
I like this one up two down set up. I even ordered a matching tom for my white m,arine pearl kit, even though I consider myself a die hard four piece guy.
Good luck and good drumming.
