Black Panther Blonde Maple 13X6.5 snare

I'm looking into buying a new snare and I kinda wanted to purchase a custom brass snare but I found this on e-bay and I've heard nothing but good things about black panther snares and plus its 119$! But I just wanted to get some advice about this snare, would you say it will work good for a jazz style is it very versatile?

Should I just wait and buy a custom?

So I went ahead and got this snare, I couldn't resist the price, so heres my quick little review

Well first I almost didn't even get my snare, the lady from fed-ex told me that I had to be 21 to sign for MY package, she said it was because the contents where alcohol, I had to open my package in front of her to show her it was a snare lol. But anyways after that she let me sign for it.

First impressions where great, the snare looks a lot better in person actually very classy, hardware is nice(little bulky but thats black panther for ya.) I like the adjustable strainer AND butt plate, and the actual throw is pretty smooth, this things tweakability is nice. Right out of the box it sounded like a the box it was shipped in, but after a while of fine tuning(witch took a while) I got this thing sounding great(very versatile), now I cant wait to get new heads for her.

So in conclusion I deffinatly recommend this snare for anyone looking for an upgrade or a pro snare, rimshots, rim clicks, all sound very nice, and I'de personally like to thank Shane at JustDrums for hooking me up! Business was great and I'll deffinatly be making more purchases from them!
