Hi guys.

I'm gonna get a new ride for some lighter stuff, where I can ride it and crash it. I'm playing lots of Coldplay stuff, Foo Fighters, QOTSE, Led Zeppelin things, and I'd like a ride with wash, doesn't have to have great stick definition but you must be able to hear it okay. I'm thinking of the A 21" Sweet ride, but I wanna now of some Sabian Rides first if you now some that are good for rock and lighter stuff, and have a great Crash sound.

check cymbalcellar.com. i hear some of the istanbul cymbals are very jazz oriented.. or 2002.. but thats what bonham played...

maybe try a crash ride?

Agop SE {Special Edition} or Agop Signature ride in 20" to 22" sizes in the 2100 to 2300 gram range should do quite nicely for what your after. The lightweight SE's in particular open up very nicely in the crash department and have a nice woody stick sound for riding.

Good selection of soundfiles here to listen to of both the Istanbul Agop Sig and SE rides:

The 21" HH Vintage Ride is my Sabian recommendation for what you're looking for.

Yeah, the Sabian HH 21" Vintage ride is a pretty nice cymbal; my buddy has one and it is just a great sounding ride!

I have a 22" Sabian HH Jazz Ride, and it's really awesome for the stuff you listed too.
It's such a great sounding cymbal.

Super sweet tone, great bell, stick sound, a GREAT crash sound...it's got everything I love in a ride.

It's one of the best sounding & feeling cymbals I've ever owned (been a lot).

My drumshop guy has been trying to get me to sell it to him for a couple years now.
No way!

If you need something a little bigger in the future, check into the HH Jazz.
