Hey everybody,

Did this one a while back. From Eric Marienthals GRP record called "Crossroads". This is from a bop-ish tune called "Upside Down". The song features Chick Corea, Eric Marienthal, John Patitucci, and of course, Vinnie. Basically Chick's band + Vince on drums (and no guitar).

Absolutely outlandish phrasing here. I put in some suggested stickings also.(definitely experiment, though!)

I hope you all enjoy!

Great, thanks! Much respect to your trancription skills. The track's yet another example of Vinnie's unique concept of playing time!

terry, you're the equivalent of vinnie in the transcription world!!!! you must be damn good too though if you can write that stuff out. thanks sooo much (for the carlock and hass transcriptions too)! absolutely incredible job. love that tune. only vinnie can ride the china during a bass solo.

um, are we seriously on a drum website and a transcription of a whole vinnie solo has only gotten two responses????

come on guys! this is embarrassing. where's the love, gratitude, obsession?

I think I left mine in my other pair of pants...

Great stuff -- the over-the-barline quintuplets are rather bafflo-tastic.

TBH, this is much more in the range of the House of Drumming guys. This is simply beyond the scope of the average DW member. Or pretty much anybody come to think of it.
