time signature help....

I was looking at pachelbel's canon on youtube (i just really like the song...), and I came across a guy's version of the song. Its really groovy, but i have no idea where the beat is, can anyone help me?

It's in 4/4. He actually answers it in the comments section. He's just playing very offbeat to give it the illusion of an odd time signature. Around 1:08 it gets easier to feel it.

*edit* I just saw you responded to his answer. Just listen to the music and not the drums and count quarter notes and it will make a bit more sense.
