I caught this linked to that Gregg video, of Steve Smith playing Buddy Rich's 'Nutville'. I wonder when this was recorded, because his technique has changed so much since then. And it's funny seeing someone wear sneakers with a suit. hahaha

Wow!
Great clip of a Bissonette lesson, Aydee.
Great find.
And YES, GB is one of the nicest guys out there, and it would be an absolute privilege to be a student of his. All I've ever seen and heard about Gregg is that he's just a wonderful person to be around. Always complimentary and up-lifting.
Not to mention...an awesome drummer!
Thanks aydee...

Actually, this was recorded on April 8, 1991 @ the Ritz in New York.
And it was a fabulous performance by Steve Smith and the Buddy Rich Big Band for the Buddy Rich Memorial Scholarship.

Great videos!
I like that 1st time student video, one funny guy but it`s true how he plays his roll, isn`t it?
Everybody starts somewhere and is really excited usually.
PS: Love when he plays that polka near the end...haha!

Nice to see a pro put himself in a student's shoes. Great empathy!

Greg is a great guy, you can just tell. He's definitely on my list of drummers that I would like to even have the privilege of just meeting some day.

Lol - "3 month later".
Bisonnette's enthusiasm is so appealing. He's the only clinic drummer i can remember who stood at the doors and welcomed everybody in personally. Great guy.
