Hey guys
I'm having a bit of a play around with my Ezybeats and would like some feedback on which of the following 2 formats you think works best - from a visual comprehension point of view.
The first video is 3in1 with music that reads itself, the 2nd is 4in1 video with the music. Personally im leaning towards 3in1 - I think the 4 starts to get overkill. Colours and titles can be changed, just looking at the videos at this stage. Your thoughts guys?
3in1

4in1

Watch them at full screen to get the feel of how it would look on DVD
many thanks in advance!

I think the first one was better because the 3 individual screens are bigger and that just seems more appealing than the slightly smaller screens. Either way is good though, there's just not THAT much difference between the 2 when it comes down to it.

I like the 3-in-1 as it seems easier to follow.

I prefer the 3-in-1. The 4-in-1 is too cluttered.
Jack, First I want to say congrats, your site is a great tool for beginners and advanced players, a gem many drummers wish they had in their day. Your explanation and demonstration is perfect and mi sure theres a lot of people out there besides me that would like to say Thanks.
Back to the question, 3-in-1.
KEEP IT UP!

As said before, i think the 3 in 1 is better. Its easier on the eyes. Also the view is a little close up because of that.

Yep 3in1 for me too, 4 is just too busy.
Jack both your playing and instruction is first class, nice work!

Why thankyou! It's interesting most ppl here on DW have said 3in1, yet when I surveyed my own subscriber list 3in1 is only ahead by a small margin. Anyway, thaks everyone for the feedback, much appreciated.

I think the first video looks the best. I agree with earlier sentiments that having larger view-panes is superior to having that one 'further out' view which is extra in the second video. Anyway, you have a good style of teaching and hopefully your DVD will be very successful.

What about just sequencing all the angle footage one-after-another, looping each twice? One big window with the transcription at top. Loop 3/4 view twice, followed by head-on twice, followed by ... etc. Or, perhaps make it more interactive by making it Flash-based, with buttons to choose the perspective?
However, if you don't want to go to that much trouble / don't like it / whatever, I agree with the posts above that 3-in-1 works better.

Thanks for the feedback, great ideas. These are going to be on a DVD set, and I really need to go for the "all in 1 view" due to time restrictions on the DVD. Most of the Ezybeats will actually just be 2 screen, but the 3 or 4 screen ones will be in a couple of sections.
