I just got a pair of 14" AA regular Hi-hats.
The seller told me it's from the 70's. Judging from the Smaller logo and the weird 14 cm print from the inside, it doesn't look like the other pair of AA regular Hi-hats i use at church.

I just wanted to know your input on these hi-hats. Whether they're good hats in general and how much it might be worth if I were to resale it. I got them for like $80 so I was wondering if I can sell them for any more money as I have a pair of K Light hats already.

So any info on these guys or have experienced using AA regular Hi-hats

I haven't played the hats, so I don't know how good they are, but I'm not sure yours are from the 70's 'cause Sabian was founded in 1981 :)

I think you actually probobly over paid for those and might lose money if you tried to resell them. It's normal for these to go for about $50-70 becuase the used market is flooded with used AA's... and "Vintage" Sabians don't quite have the same luster as vintage Zildjians.... especially since the Vintage are 80's.

I wouldn't feel bad about spending $80 on a pair of Sabian hats form this era, but I wouldn't go thru the process of trying to sell them for much of a profit, either. I'd keep 'em. I have a "block letter" 16" Thin Crash and it's a keeper.

Without actually seeing these hats in person, I'm guessing they're a Sabian version of New Beats. That might be a nice contrast to your K Hats for other gigs. I think Sabian's from this era are good. Also, I love the smaller logos.

wow, i sure didn't know that. But I must say, they do sound pretty decent for the price and I haven't been seeing $80ish price range Hi-hats on craigslist that often.

I'll probably keep it for contrast to my K as mention before.

Thanks for the info again :)

An older pair of Regular hats are my main studio hats... I love them!

These are defintely early to mid-1980s vintage, as judged by the logo. Excellent Hi hats. Do you want to sell them?
