Went thru the list and Jack was nowhere to be seen so I had to rectify the problem.Just listen to some early Chili Peppers or Pearl Jam's "No Code" and you'll hear what I'm talking about. An excellent all around, slip it in the pocket drummer who is no frills. Thats my 5 cents worth anyway.Opinions?

I think the Red Hot Chili Peppers were better with Jack Irons and Hillel Slovack personally. John Frusciante turned a groove-based band into a chord-based band, leaving Flea, the gem of the group, hanging out to dry. Jack's awesome!!!

His playing on Yield is awesome. He actually reminds me a lot of Chad Smith in the way he beats the living crap out of his kit. He even used a trash can lid in the recording of Yield, how cool is that!

Irons is a good drummer. As far listening to their old stuff over newer... Well I would have to say anything after "One Hot Minute" im not a big fan of. And too bad they dont play any of the songs off One Hot Minute, because it was a great album, everything after that was just..... not RHCP.
But as far as drummers, Irons was great and so is Chad Smith. The differences are that we have more of an experiance listening to Smith over Irons because of all the albums they put out between the two drumming.

There's no reason why Jack Irons shouldn't be on this site. He's Pearl Jams best drummer by far and that's pretty great considering his competition. I won't come on here anymore until i see jack irons name on the list. I protest!
