What study material would you suggest for someone who has been away from the set for a while?
Back in the day I was pretty decent, but right now I am very VERY rusty. It was strange recently when I first got behind my set, but its almost like I have been building my confidence back up.
I am intrigued by the Marco Minnemann book, Extreme Interdependence and am currently slowly toying around with Stick Control and the New Breed book.
Is there anything else you could suggest?

new breed is a corker. The whole system thing is legendry and it does not stop there. New Breed will change the way you practice ina big way and make you a much better drummer period.

Hmmmmm, intriguing.
It is kind rough since I have never really been too much of a music reader.

I just picked up Pat Petrillo's Book/DVD/CD package and I'm so far, quite impressed w/ it. I think in your case it's good because it covers a broad range of topics.

I will look into that one. Thanks.
I think eventually I am going to pick up one or two of Marco Minnemann's books. I was looking through the Maximum Minnemann and it looked pretty challenging and interesting all at the same time. I would probably get the Extreme Interdependence first.
But I will definitely look into the book you mentioned. How much did it run you?

Are you doing rock, or everything, or what?
I can say that I think you are headed in the right direction with Stick Control, though.

Starting at $23 (and change) on Amazon - and that's for a book, DVD, and CD.

Mainly rock, but I don't want to limit myself so yes, everything.
I know I really need to work on my hand technique. I have noticed some nasty habits my left hand does.
