Ludwig Mini Elite Lugs

Has anybody had any problems with these? I ask because I was thinking about ordering a Classic Birch kit, but I just now learned there is a difference between the Mini Elite lug, which is standard on those drums, and the Mini Classic lug, which is standard on the Classic Maple drums.

I have the Mini Elite Lugs, no problem. The Classic Lugs are longer. Look at page five on the attached link http://www.ludwig-drums.com/pdf/birch&vistaliteconfig6.pdf it might help with some of your questions.
